As a rule, facilities that install emission sources must install air-pollution prevention facilities so that emitted pollutants stay within the emission limits (Clean Air Conservation Act, Article 26). [1]
Annex 4 of the Act's Enforcement Rule lists 16 types of prevention facility, including wet scrubbing dust collectors, absorption facilities and adsorption facilities; a prevention facility also includes the hoods and ducts that capture pollutants and its attached equipment such as fans and pumps. [1]
The Ministry of Employment and Labor's self-inspection checklist for the chemical industry classes scrubbers with adsorption towers and combustion/incineration units as environmental treatment equipment, and checks that the scrubber circulation pump works and that the pump and circulation piping are free of damage and leaks. [2]
